32 But not only is that temperance worthy of praise which moderates food, but also that which moderates lust. Since it is written: “Go not after your lusts, and deny your appetite. If you give her desires to your soul, you will be a joy to your enemies;” and farther on; “Wine and women make even wise men to fall away.” So that Paul teaches temperance even in marriage itself; for he who is incontinent in marriage is a kind of adulterer, and violates the law of the Apostle.
