On the Death of Satyrus

¹²¹ And therefore “blessed is he who keeps the words of this prophecy,” which has revealed the resurrection to us by clearer testimony, saying: “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and they opened the books; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and hell gave up the dead which were in it.” We must, then, not question how they shall rise again, whom hell gives up and the sea restores.
