And again Paul says: “That mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now He that has wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also has given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.” And again he says: “Approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities.” and so forth. Then he adds these words: “By kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the word of truth, by the power of God.” Behold here again the saint has defined the holy Trinity, naming God, and the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And again he says: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.” And again: “But you are washed, but you are justified in the name of our Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” And again: “What! Do you not know that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God?” “And I think also that I have the Spirit of God.”
